On Sunday 16th March, everyone’s favourite Ricos Tacos at the Norfolk Hotel in Redfern is teaming up with Justin Narayan from Juzzy’s Tacos for a one day only, Taco Takeover!
Thanks to a budding admiration between Toby Wilson (founder of Ricos Tacos), Justin and a shared love of tacos, this one day collab promises to be high energy with Toby and Justin behind the counter, bringing the vibes alongside tacos packed with flavour.
On what to expect, Toby says “We’ll have the Ricos tacos menu pumping as usual and then Justin and I will be serving up an additional 3 items (all from his cookbook) all day. Expect curry tacos and delicious street style corn. Justin will also have his brand new book for sale on the day so you can go home and make these tacos yourself!”
The three specialty tacos include a Chicken Curry Taco with coriander green chili chutney and Masala Sweet Potato Tacos with salsa roja, plus sides like grilled corn with lime mayo and queso fresco to round it all off. Of course, no tacos are complete without an equally as punchy drink to wash it all down, so a specially shaken Tommy’s Margaritas will be flowing for just $12.
Justin Narayan will be on hand and available to meet, and guests can grab a copy of his book “Everything Is Indian” and get it signed on the spot – all for $29. This one of a kind taco takeover promises a great time and even better flavours as two industry legends come together for a day of collaborative flair in the kitchen. And in Toby’s words, “It will be a fun celebration of tacos, the sharing of food cultures, mateship and corn.”
