The new look Guildford Hotel in Western Sydney has reopened after undergoing a significant renovation and is breathing new life into Guildford, one of Western Sydney’s most multicultural suburbs.
The multi-million dollar glow-up marks a huge milestone for Guildford, as the Hotel is the suburb’s only pub venue – and with a reinvigorated kitchen and flavour packed menu that leans heavily into Mediterranean spices and flame grill, locals and travellers to the area are in for a welcome surprise.
With interiors completely redesigned by H&E Architects the Hotel, which can seat up to 300 people, is perfectly designed so friends can catch up by the cocktail bar, groups can enjoy watching sport from one of the many screens including a 4m long mega screen, and families can congregate around a low-set kids corner packed with toys, art and craft and games.
Artistic legend Nico Nicoson has painted a phenomenal 12.5m long mural that is inspired by the people, colours and flora of Western Sydney, and this adorns the outdoor beer garden. With the help of design students from nearby Western Sydney University, the artwork beautifully captures the cultural diversity of the area and features references to the rich and layered community spirit.
The cocktail lounge menu features a twist on the classics such as a Lychee Collins, Spicy Margarita and a Lavender Lush that includes El Jimador Tequila, Chambord, Alize, Raspberry and topped with edible flowers. There’s also a delicious mix of mocktails to choose from.
When it comes to the menu, diners won’t leave disappointed, with the reimagined kitchen offering an exciting array of moorish flavours with a Mediterranean edge, highlighted by flame grilled steaks, chicken and lamb. The standard Chicken Schnitzel pub classic is anything but standard, and comes with four customisable toppers, with the Spicy Topper (with Sujuk sausage) a standout.
Out-of-this-world sundaes that let you choose your adventure with a variety of delicious toppings are a go-to for all the sweet tooths, and the signature Guildford Sundae is the main event, consisting of Vanilla bean gelato, almond brittle, chocolate fudge sauce, raspberry sauce, whipped cream & Persian fairy floss.
For the kids the team at the Guildford Hotel made a commitment to fresh ingredients and quality meals that include Grilled juicy chicken skewers, Classic Battered Fish & Chips or the classic Spaghetti and definitely no frozen chicken nuggets in sight! The kids play corner has a range of fun activities, books, colouring sets which will keep little ones engaged while the adults enjoy some respite nearby.
